Everything you need to know about pricing, packing, transit insurance, and scheduling.
How much does moving cost in Australia?
Local suburb moves in Australia typically range from $120–$190/hr for a 2-man crew with a padded truck. Interstate moves depend on volume (m³) and distance, with fixed quotes starting from $1,200 for single rooms to $3,500+ for full 4-bedroom houses between Sydney and Melbourne.
How far in advance should I book my removalist?
For local moves, we recommend booking 1–2 weeks in advance, especially for Fridays and end-of-month dates. For interstate relocations, booking 2–4 weeks ahead ensures optimal scheduling and vessel/container allocation.
Are my goods insured during transit?
Yes! All SwiftMove relocations include full Goods in Transit Insurance and Public Liability coverage up to $10,000,000. Extended full-value replacement insurance options are also available upon request.
Do you provide packing boxes and wardrobe cartons?
We deliver eco-friendly heavy-duty cardboard boxes, portrait wardrobe cartons with hanging rails, picture boxes, and bubble wrap directly to your door prior to moving day.
